Grid-tie Systems

The system consists of a grid inverter and solar array. The generated power will offset the loads and excess solar power can be exported onto the grid if allowed. This is the most cost effective solution to reduce the power consumption in a household or office setup but offer no backup power in the event of a grid failure.

Off-grid Systems

The system consists of an inverter/charger, battery bank, solar charge controller and solar array. Off-grid systems are used in remote areas or areas where no grid power is available or where grid power is unreliable and not frequently available. The loads will be supplied directly from the solar array and battery bank and surplus solar power will be stored in the battery bank for night time use. It is possible to incorporate a generator in the system to support the loads and charge the battery bank during periods of low solar production.

Grid-interactive Systems

The system consists of an inverter/charger, battery bank, solar charge controller and solar array. Grid-interactive systems also referred to as ESS (Energy Storage Systems) is a combination of a Backup and Grid-tie system which allows it to import power from the grid to help supply loads or charge batteries as well as export surplus solar power onto the grid. This type of system is ideal for household and office environments where maximum savings are required as well as backup for essential loads.

Backup Systems

The system consists of an inverter/charger and battery bank, the battery bank will always be fully charged. In the event of a grid failure the essential loads connected to the backup circuit will be powered. When the grid returns the battery bank will be recharged and remain charged until the next grid failure occurs.
